Griswold Controls' QuickSet ™ Manual Balancing Valves are venturi style, manual balancing valves in sizes from 1/2" to 18". QuickSet ™ Manual Balancing Valves sizes 1/2" to 2", are union ball valves equipped with a venturi, graduated memory stop, and Flow Optimizer. The Flow Optimizer greatly improves overall valve performance and makes static balancing simple and quick. Griswold Controls' QuickSet ™ Manual Balancing Valves in 2-1/2" to 18", are steel, low loss venturi measuring stations with Quadrant Piezo-Ring. The design feature allows for the valve to be install after a elbow, temperature control, or other valve, without affecting flow. For 2-1/2" to 18" sizes, end connections are Flanged, Weld, or Grooved End options.

The Flow Optimizer is a durable plastic insert that is pressed into the discharge end of the ball. The parabolic shape of the Flow Optimizer modifies valve characteristics in such a way that the valve setting becomes simple and quick. With ordinary type balance valves, the throttle characteristics of the valve are such that from full open to 20% closed, ball valves do not control flow; instead, the ball valve and flow passage is literally wide open. From 70% to 100% closed, throttling is extremely sensitive and difficult. The operator must manipulate the valve handle repetitively to achieve the desired set point.

The Griswold 2-1/2" to 18" Metering Station is equipped with a Quadrant Peizo Ring with 4 sensing ports for more accurate throat signal. No straight runs are necessary for normal operation. With the addition of a butterfly valve for shut off, the 2-1/2" to 18" Metering Station becomes a full functioning QuickSet ™ Manual Balancing Valve with memory stop for full accurate flow adjustment.
